THE WORD
FIRST LESSON: Isaiah 6:1-8
When Isaiah was called to be a prophet of the Lord, he was given a glimpse of heaven. He saw the holy Lord seated on His throne, surrounded by angels who were praising Him. Isaiah was troubled because he was an unworthy sinner. The Lord assured Isaiah that his sin had been removed. The Lord then called Isaiah to be a prophet.
PSALM OF THE DAY: Psalm 85 on page 97
We can rejoice because our holy Lord gives us peace through the message of salvation.
SECOND LESSON: 1 Corinthians 142:12b-20
