THE WORD
FIRST LESSON: Acts 9:1-19a
This is the account of St. Paul’s conversion. Jesus appears to him, calls him to faith and designates Paul as His chosen instrument to preach salvation to the Gentiles.
PSALM OF THE DAY: Psalm 67 on page 91
Salvation, which comes through our Savior’s resurrection, is meant for all people and will fill all people with joy.
SECOND LESSON: Revelation 5:11-14
St. John is granted another vision of the glorified Lord Jesus. He alone is worthy to receive “honor and glory and praise” from the hosts of heaven and all creatures.
GOSPEL: John 21:1-14
In love and friendship, Jesus appeared to His disciples a third time. This time, while they were fishing, He repeated an earlier miracle so they might recognize that He, who had risen for them, was the same Lord Jesus who died for them.
THE SERMON: Acts 9:1-19a
THEME: The Resurrected Jesus Changes Lives
